BIC for Her: They’ve spoofed themselves

Since the release of the new BIC for Her pens, there’s been a lot of indignant Internet-y chatter about marketing pens made specifically for women. Razors? Schick for Her?? OK! We have different contours to shave. I can be down for pink razors.

But pens? Really, BIC. Really? Buzzfeed was right to ridicule you.

And then I saw this commercial on TV. ON TV.

They’ve spoofed themselves!

SNL did not participate in the making of this commercial; it is unclear whether or not the collective female psyche was harmed in the conceptualization and subsequent filming.

Seriously, though, even Ellen couldn’t have done a better job of making these pens ridiculous (and she tried). Bravo, BIC. Bravo.

“Easy glide: feel the smoothness.” (???!?!!!!?!!)

Aside: Women everywhere should obviously be office supplies for Halloween.
