We are responsible, contributing members of society and what that primarily means is we spend a lot of time “at work” talking to our friends through various chat mediums and getting paid for it. While we are ever thankful for technology’s ability to keep us connected despite the handful of states that separate us, inflection, innuendo, sarcasm, and reactions can be difficult to judge through the ever-illusive medium of instant messaging. lol – I am either in high school or haven’t intellectually grown since high school. There is no actual laughter; I’m just unsure how to respond and am uncomfortable with silence. Even text silence. (Also, I may or may not b ur parent trying to b cool.)
LOL – I’m facetiously reacting to an @yourawaymessage tweet or am even less intellectually mature than a common lol-er.
